What the college says

During this year you will study practitioners in depth and you will prepare a monologue and take on a role in a full length established play for external examination. In the A2 year you will participate in workshops exploring techniques in preparation for a devised performance. You will also sit a written exam based on your study of a modern play and your interpretation of it. You will attend a performance of Shakespeare and will compare your experience to the original performance conditions in the written exam.

What you need to get on

Preferably BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts or GCSE Drama. For some cases, where an audition has resulted in being accepted into the CPA Acting Programme, AS Level entry can be considered.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
