A Level Drama and Theatre Studies is an exciting course and offers many opportunities for you to develop as a performer, director, writer and critic. A Level studies are different from GCSEs as they require more independent learning skills. Students who succeed in this subject pursue their own interests beyond what they are taught in lessons. In addition to lessons, which often take the form of practical workshops or seminars, you will be expected to work an equal number of hours in your own time. This may involve rehearsing, seeing productions, researching topics, devising pieces, preparing presentations or writing exploration notes, production concepts and live evaluations.

Grade 6 in English or Drama

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
