What the college says

“The intensity of the moment: no other visual medium can give us this with such immediacy as photography. Instant photos are spontaneous, vital, and direct. Life seems to be concentrated, condensed, in a special way, especially in photographic masterpieces. It is as though the gap of a few hundredths of a second which records the flow of things suddenly gives insight into a structure of life which is otherwise never so clearly perceived, indeed is hidden from visual access. That technical miracle, the camera, with its polished and precisely focused lenses, allows us a glimpse “behind the mirror”, behind the façade. Precisely by “freezing” all movement, it often seems to succeed in revealing the secret formula of all activity.” Topics we study: Digital photography, Lense-based image making.
