The Design & Technology department has two well-equipped workshops; a specialist electronics room; excellent ICT facilities that include CAD/CAM; and a dedicated textiles suite and fully equipped Food Technology room which gives our students access to a wide variety of manufacturing and catering processes.

What you need to get on

This course is open to students who have achieved a grade 6 in GCSE Design Technology along with a grade 4 in both English (Language or Literature) and Mathematics. In addition, a total of 360 points from your best 8 GCSEs is also required, details of which can be found on the school website.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
