Business is a subject which looks at the issues real businesses face. In the lessons, students examine these issues in an interactive way, learning about how to apply business theories and ideas to different contexts. Business is a challenging subject and you must be able to express yourself well in a written format, as the course relies heavily on completing essay based questions. You will also need to be a strong verbal communicator and will be expected to be familiar with current issues in business.

What you need to get on

In addition to any individual subject specific requirements, students will be expected to have the following qualifications to be guaranteed a place on an A level programme: + 2 GCSE grades at 6 or above and 4 GCSE grades at 4 or above. College entry to include GCSE Mathematics grade 5 or above and GCSE English Language must be included in this grade profile.
