What the college says

A Level Business Studies has been developed to build on skills students develop at Key Stage 4, however there are no previous knowledge requirements for this specification. The course builds on, but is not dependent on, students having studied Business Studies. The course is structured into four themes and consists of three externally examined papers. An A Level in Business Studies is an academic qualification, which also has a strong practical application. It is a very popular subject at university, with good career prospects in accounting, personnel, marketing, operations and general management. Whether you end up working for a company or indeed set up your own company, a qualification in Business Studies is an excellent first step into today’s world of work.
