Business Studies is a dynamic subject that fosters an interest in the outside world, and allows students to relate their studies to the events that are making the headlines. In Year 12 you will complete six units: Introduction to Business, Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Production, HR. These units cover the characteristics that you will need in order to be successful in business and the activities that you will be involved in. In Year 13 you will complete an additional two units: "Strategies for Success" and "The Business Environment". These units cover the issues faced by businesses trading internationally, as well as how to assess business performance. Student quote: "Business is exhilarating and fun. What you need to get on

At least Grade 6 in GCSE Business Studies, Grade 5 in GCSE English Language or GCSE English Literature and Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
