What the college says
This course is designed to give you a good grounding in all aspects of business. You will develop a thorough understanding of topical business issues and will think about them in a critical manner, developing the skills of application, analysis and evaluation. Case study research of businesses lies at the heart of the A level course. You are taught business theory and how to apply it to issues, problems and opportunities facing real businesses. You should be prepared for extended writing answers in the examinations.
What you need to get on
If you have studied Business at GCSE, you will need to have attained a grade 6, however it is not essential for you to have previously studied Business in order to study it at A Level. Grade 6 is required in English and Mathematics GCSEs.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
