What the college says
Students are introduced, in Themes 1 and 2, to A level Business concepts and how to apply them to real life contexts in order to develop a broad understanding of how businesses work; as well as looking at specific marketing factors. Students will investigate the financial element of a business, whilst gaining an understanding of forecasting. Economic influences within finance are also covered. Themes 3 and 4 require a strategic view of business opportunities and issues. In order to gain an understanding of business decisions and strategies that are put into place, students are encouraged to use an enquiring, critical and thoughtful approach to their studies.
What you need to get on
Minimum of 5 grade 5�s at GCSE or equivalent including English Language and Maths. Merit or equivalent in Business is preferred, but it is not essential to have studied Business in Key Stage 4
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
