What the college says
A 2 year course, AS Level is taken at the end of Year 1 and the A Level sat at then of the two year course. Course Outline All students will be given the opportunity to carry out a wide range of investigative work including guidance in using advanced level laboratory techniques (e.g. culturing bacteria using aseptic techniques). You will be involved in discussions, practical investigations and exercises to ensure that you are well prepared for your examinations. There is no coursework on this course. However, your performance during practical work will be assessed. The course itself is comprised of 4 main sections: • Biological molecules. • Cells. • Organisms exchange substances with their environment. • Genetic information, variation, and relationships between organisms.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
