The aims of this course are to encourage students to develop their interest and enthusiasm for studying Biology, including developing an interest in further study and careers in Biology, appreciating how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how science contributes to the success of the economy and society; developing and demonstrating a deeper appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding on How Science Works; developing essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other.

5 GSCE at grade 9-5. Maths at grade '6' and at least grade '6' in Core / Additional Science.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
