It leads to an in-depth appreciation of the living world around us. As such it can complement a number of other subjects and attracts a wide variety of students. The course helps students to develop a number of skills: • How to collect data and evaluate it • How to investigate facts and use deduction • How to put over your point of view effectively • How to take responsibility for your own learning Where does this subject lead? Studying Biology at AS and A level is an excellent foundation for Higher Education courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Applied Biology, Natural Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Zoology, Marine Biology, Botany and Optometry to name but a few.
