Biology is an exciting and rapidly advancing science. Biologists are making an increasing contribution to ensuring the world becomes a healthier and safer place. Do you want to work at the cutting edge of Science? Then Biology could be for you. During the first year, you will look at a number of topics, including; Biological molecules, Cells, Organisms exchange substances with their environment, Genetic information and variation and relationships between organisms. During the second year you will study; Energy transfers in and between organisms, Organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments, Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems and the control of gene expression.

What you need to get on

Five Grade 5s at GCSE and at least a 6 in two Sciences and a 5 in English Language and Maths

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
