What the college says
This course will you to understand the responsibilities of the accountant and the impacts of their recommendations on the business and the wider environment. You will build knowledge and understanding of key concepts, principles and techniques that you can apply to real-life scenarios, developing the ability to solve problems logically, analyse data methodically, make reasoned choices and communicate effectively. Throughout the course a variety of accounting problems are encountered, as is the interpretation of accounting statements, reports, tables, graphs and charts.
What you need to get on
Six GCSEs 9-4 (or A*-C), Two at least grade 6 (or B) & Two from English, Maths OR Science. GCSE Maths grade 9-6 (higher tier) is required.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
