Design and Technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. This specification encourages you to use creativity and imagination when applying iterative design processes to develop and modify designs, and to design and make prototypes that solve real world problems, considering your own and others' needs, wants, aspirations and values.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry requirements for students are the best 8 GCSE grades, totalling 38 or higher. For example, two Grade 6s, two Grade 5s, and four Grade 4s. In addition, students also need to have secured Grade 4s in Mathematics and English; with a Grade 5 in a GCSE Technology or Level 2 Merit in Engineering.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
