The Art and Design Textiles and Fashion course provides opportunities for students to: • Develop knowledge of what is Textile Design and the varied routes you can go down • Use various drawing techniques to present solutions to a prescribed problem • Develop investigative and analytical skills • Widen understanding of Textile and Fashion Designers • Experiment and learn new practical techniques and develop skills to produce an end product of the student’s choice ranging from garment construction to craft and also Textiles as an art form

Grade 5 in a GCSE Design subject, if taken. Prior study of one of the Design and Technology subjects is advantageous but not necessary.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
