The WCG Drive Motor Vehicle programme is a specialist 14-16 study pathway designed for young people who want a more practical, career-focused route through Key Stage 4, with dedicated staff guiding learners academically and personally. This programme combines hands-on motor vehicle maintenance training with GCSEs in essential subjects, providing a strong foundation for further study, apprenticeships or technical careers. WCG Drive is ideal for young people who are currently in Year 9 at school, or are electively home educated, and about to enter Year 10, and have an interest in cars, vehicle maintenance and automotive engineering. Students develop skills in a realistic workshop environment that reflects modern automotive practice and supports progression into further study, apprenticeships or technical careers. Expert staff guide learners both academically and professionally, ensuring their success at all stages of their learning journey. There is a strong focus on employability skills, teamwork and health and safety. Ongoing academic and pastoral support is available throughout the programme.
