This study programme gives you the chance to learn and improve your skills in our modern, industry standard workshops. You have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in local shows and exhibitions. Test the skills you have learnt against others by participating in local and national competitions, such as the UK Skills trials and World Skill. In addition, you will have the chance to get an in-depth look in to the industry, visiting the Motor Industry Repair Research Centre. The study programme will also develop personal, social and employability skills, which includes opportunities to work on community projects and to explore the various career pathways within the automotive industry.
What you need to get on
Three GCSEs at Grade 3 including maths and/or English, or a Level 1 qualification plus maths and/or English at Level 1.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A first step that builds towards Level 2.
