What the college says

This is a two year course leading to the Edexcel A Level Urdu Certificate. In some circumstances the course can be completed in one year. The aims of the course are: 1) to develop a high level of communication skills; 2) to develop awareness of various aspects of societies in which the language is spoken; 3) to develop study skills as a preparation for the world of work further study training or leisure; 4) to be enjoyable interesting and relevant to the needs of students.

What you need to get on

You will need six full GCSEs at grades A* to C including English Language and Urdu (or have a high degree of fluency in Urdu and English).

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
