What the college says

Not everyone can build a career in the emergency public services or the military. If you know you have what it takes, then this course will prepare you for a front-line or support role in the public services industry. Our public services course will help you handle challenging circumstances and develop skills that are essential in these services. While on the course, you will gain invaluable, first-hand experience from members of staff with public service experience in the Police, RAF and a range of other services. The course combines classroom-based activities with learning through practical and outdoor activities. Skills for public service work are combined with exploring social issues, developing your personal fitness, playing sport and taking part in various outdoor activities. If you have not achieved grade 4 (C) or above in English and maths, you will have the opportunity to re-sit these vital qualifications. You will also build your IT skills by completing the various elements of the course. These skills will help you complete your coursework and prepare for further study or employment..
