This course is for you if you want an introduction to the requirements of a career in the Public Services such as Police, Armed Services, Ambulance, Prison, Fire & Rescue or HM Customs & Excise. The course provides a detailed overview of the skills and helps you to develop the mental and physical abilities required in your chosen career.

What you need to get on

Entry requires 4 GCSEs at grades A–C/4–9 including English or maths, or a Level 2 related qualification, plus good English and maths. Mature learners with experience are welcome. You should have a strong interest in public services and a commitment to succeed. Expect practical and fitness sessions indoors and outdoors—no starting fitness level needed, just a positive attitude to improve.
