Uniformed Protective Services provide vital support to the community and are a great career option for you. The Level 2 Study Programme gives you the chance to develop your understanding of all the uniformed protective services (UPS) and their roles in our lives as you progress into your career. Youll undertake fitness tests to meet the entrance criteria for a chosen job in the UPS and participate in adventurous activities and exciting sessions with different uniformed services relating to the skills you need. With work experience letting you know what it is like to work in the sector, and the additional skills youll learn on the programme youll be well prepared to take the next step in your UPS training! Students who successfully complete this course will be ideally suited to progress to the Level 3 Protective Services programme or look for employment in the services at a junior level.

What you need to get on

4 x GCSEs at grade 3(D) or above, or Level 1 Subject Qualification In addition: A satisfactory level of physical fitness relating to entry into a uniformed service

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
