What the college says
This course is ideal if you're planning a carer in the media industries. We'll give you a solid grounding in a range of production techniques for visual and audio media using up to date techniques and systems. Plus, you'll find out how to develop ideas, work as part of a team, conduct effective research, plan projects and meet deadlines. You'll also develop your communication and presentation skills, find out how the media industries work, and work on maximising your chances of securing a job or progressing to further education/training. The course includes some contact with some of our key industry partners and contacts, and you'll be encouraged to take up work experience and networking opportunities as and when they're available.
What you need to get on
How will I be assessed? -Continuous assessments using class based assignments and portfolio of evidence. How will I be taught? -The course is very practical, and is delivered by tutors with a wealth of experience. Qualifications needed: -The course is Level 2- you should have appropriate vocational qualifications at Level 1 or some GCSEs at Grade D or above, preferably including English and Maths.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
