What the college says
The level 2 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to the Level 3 study programme or employment in the Performing Arts industry. Over the year, students will collaborate to create the professional company "JOT Ensemble" and will work to create performances to a professional standard. Standing for Jack of Trade, the students time with the company will expose them to a range of techniques and skills that are multi-disciplinary in their approach.
What you need to get on
You will need 3 GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above. In addition You may like to take the opportunity to demonstrate your performance or production skills in the welcome event.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
