This one-year course provides an exciting introduction to art and design. The course will provide you with new opportunities to develop your art and design skills and knowledge through studio and workshop practise across a range of disciplines including drawing & painting, photography, printmaking, 3D, digital arts, textiles and ceramics

Minimum 4 GCSEs Grade 9-2 (previously A*-F) (to ensure that you qualify it is highly desirable that you achieve at least a grade 4/C or above in English or Maths), interview and portfolio
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
