What the college says

You will be introduced to the world of Digital Media, focusing on a wide set of technical skills. These will include Video, Sound and Web Development Production as well as other essentials for entering Film, TV, Audio and Web Production industries. Successful applicants will have access to current industry level software and equipment, editing facilities, audio/video equipment and studios. A team of enthusiastic, highly experienced staff will guide you through the course, showing you how video, sound and websites are produced before letting you experiment with making these things for yourself.

What you need to get on

You will require a minimum of 4 GCSEs including English and Maths grade 9-3 (formerly A*-D). Alternatively, successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification and have achieved a Level 1 Functional Skill in English and Maths.

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
