What you need to get on
This option is usually taken by students resitting GCSE English and/or Mathematics. This course is excellent preparation for Level 3 courses, and is equivalent to one GCSE. This course must be taken in conjunction with the Level 2 First Award in Public Services BTEC. 8+ GCSE grades at 4-2.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
