The travel and tourism course is designed to support learners who are interested in learning about the travel and leisure industry. There is a wide array of assessments which ensure that a variety of skills are developed. You will work with staff who will guide you through the course and set deadlines for assignments which must be met. The course covers a range of topics to provide a thorough understanding of the travel and tourism sector. You will study the importance of tourism on the global economy, the roles associated within the industry, what are the global hot spots for tourism and changing trends. There is an emphasis on synoptic links between the units where students can draw upon all their learning and apply it to realistic contexts. This course is being delivered by the geography department.
