Our Understanding Autism level 2 course will give an understanding of autism and the principles of supporting autistic individuals. Study the person-centred approach and the influence that positive communication methods can have and will gain and understanding of how autistic individuals can be supported to live healthy fulfilled lives.
What you need to get on
There are no specific prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 1 qualification and/ or had some experience working in childcare, education or a support/ health care setting. All prospective learners will have an interview to ensure the course is suitable for them. All learners must be at least 19+.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
