This course is aimed at those students who have a keen interest and a real flair in the application of make-up. This course is perfect if you’ve developed some make up application skills and want to get the qualifications you need for a career as a professional make up artist, providing services within the media, fashion and photographic industries. You will learn specific advanced skills which will be of particular interest to those wishing to enter the film and TV industry as a make-up artist. •Fashion and photographic •Media make-up creative hair designs •Creating historical and make-up looks •Applying body art •Camouflage make-up This course commences in September and runs for one year. A timetable showing days and times of classes will be assigned at the start of the programme. There will be continuous assessment of practical work, both on and off the job, oral questioning relating to practical work and written questions. You will be required to maintain and submit a portfolio of evidence of work produced. Assessments are based on the ability to do the job. On completion of this course you may progress onto: •Progress to other courses in college or university •Employment in the make-up industry

You will require successful completion of a Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or Level 2 Make-up.
