Level 1 qualifications are designed to enhance students work and life skills in a range of contexts. They are appropriate for a diverse range of students including those who have not yet achieved accredited qualifications (such as GCSEs) and those with specific learning needs. The programme is designed to give students the opportunity to engage in learning which is relevant to them and will provide opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques. In particular, students will hone their personal skills and attributes both of which are essential for successful performance in working life. It is also designed to give students the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised Foundation Level 1 qualification and to progress on to related Level 2 qualifications. Units include: - Working in Business and Administration - Recording Business Transactions - Preparing for Work Placements - Carrying out an Individual Project
