The Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning has been designed to provide learners with an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school or college environments.This course covers a wide range of areas including children and young people's development, supporting children and young people's positive behaviour and communication and professional relationships.It's aimed at learners working in roles that support pupils' learning in primary, secondary or special schools, as well as colleges.

What you need to get on

Learners will be between 16 years old and 18 years old at the start of this course. Applicants should have gained at least a grade 3 in both GCSE Maths and English Language before this course. Although not a requirement, learners may find it beneficial to have completed a level 1 qualification in childcare and early years education prior to starting this course.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
