From cooking and managing money to travelling safely and looking after your wellbeing, you’ll gain independence step by step in a supportive, hands-on environment. Alongside these life skills, you’ll develop communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities to help you at college, home, and beyond. Whether you’re aiming for more independence, further study, or supported work, this course gives you the tools to succeed.

What you need to get on

This programme is all about preparing for independence. You’ll develop your personal and social skills, build confidence and learn how to take more responsibility in everyday life. You don’t need any formal qualifications to apply for this course, but before starting, you’ll take part in an initial assessment so we can make sure the programme is right for you.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
