Aimed at School Leavers. On this course you will study a variety of sports related subjects on a full-time basis. The course is designed for those who want a career in the sport, health or exercise industry.During the year you learn about sports performance, sports coaching, nutrition, how to instruct exercise and fitness, anatomy and how the body works, health and safety, strength training and conditioning and will take part in practical sport.You will also study either Functional Skills of GCSEs to support your practical and career development.

What you need to get on

Your GCSE results will determine the level you start at: Level 3 - Five or more GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English Language and Maths Level 2 - Four or more GCSEs at grade 9-3 including English Language and Maths Level 1 - Four or more GCSEs at grade 9-2 including English Language and Maths Specific grades are required in certain subjects. How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
