Student complete the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Sport. Students will undertake a two year course where they complete two units in year 12 and two units in year 13. They also have the opportunity to gain extra qualifications including Level 2 Sports Leader Award and First Aid.Units within the qualification are anatomy and physiology, fitness training and programming for health, sport and well-being, professional development in the sports industry, practical sports and sports leadership
What you need to get on
The course offers the opportunity for students who have an interest in sport or for students who have taken the BTEC or GCSE PE at Key Stage 4 to develop their knowledge and understanding of different aspects of sport.
