The Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing is a qualification that enables you to work in a professional Gym-based environment It covers the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to be a competent Gym Instructor, in order to be able to work with new clients, assess, plan, deliver and review exercise programmes. Additionally equipping learners with the necessary instructing skills to carry out inductions and provide a high standard of customer service. This qualification is aimed at people who have a strong desire to work in the Fitness Industry within a Gym-based environment, as an Instructor.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade 3/D or above including Maths and English language.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
