Students will study a specialist Sport & Exercise Science qualification that provides in-depth knowledge across a wide range of scientific disciplines within sport. This course is ideal for students who are passionate about sport and have a particular interest in the science behind athletic performance. Topics include Biomechanics, Sports Massage, Sport Psychology, and Exercise Physiology, helping students develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.In the first year, students will study the Foundation Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science, which is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels and attracts UCAS Tariff points for progression to higher education.Following successful completion of the Foundation Diploma, students can progress to the Extended Diploma in their second year. This qualification is worth a further 1.5 A Levels, enabling students to achieve the equivalent of 3 A Levels over two years and providing an excellent pathway to university, apprenticeships, or careers within the sport, health, and exercise science industries.

Minimum five grade 4-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 2 course, and English, maths and science at grade 4.
