What the college says
The following topic areas are covered through oral, listening and written communication: Youth Culture and Concerns Lifestyle: Health and Fitness The World Around Us Education and Employment Customs, Traditions, Beliefs and Religions National and International Events: past, present and future Literature and the Arts You will be expected to attend one lesson a week with the Foreign Language Assistant. You will also be expected to take part in the Year 12 Study Visit to Spain, at a cost of approximatley £500.
What you need to get on
For Spanish it is highly recommended that you have Level 6 or above in GCSE Spanish. You should also have grasped the tenses studied at GCSE: the present, the future, the conditional, the imperfect and the preterite. You should enjoy communicating in Spanish and have an interest in Spanish culture.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
