Sociology is the study of culture and of the people in society. It is concerned with our experiences and the institutions that affect our lives. Such institutions include the family, education, religion and the mass media. As Sociology is the study of society you need to be interested in the world you live in.
What you need to get on
6 grades A*-C including 2 grade Bs; 2 or more of English, Maths and Science at A*-C; grade C or above in GCSE English Language. Grade C in GCSE Mathematics is strongly recommended
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
