Are you someone who really cares about people? Would you like to help people through old age, illness or disability, offering them dignity and respect? If the answer is yes, then a job in health and social care may be for you! This is an Entry Level to Level One programme which will develop the skills required for a vocation working within the “Health and Social Care” profession. It is for school leavers and young people who need extra support with learning. A greater sense of independence and self-confidence will be achieved by building on skills and strengths. From attending and completing this course, you will achieve an E Three or Level One Certificate in Skills for Working in Health, Lifestyle and Science Industries. All courses include English and Maths, you will follow accredited Functional Skills qualifications, as well as Continuing Personal/Professional Development, tutorials, enrichment and enterprise projects and a work experience placement. During the year, you will also undertake work experience placement that gives you a direct insight into working in a health and social care setting. You can also become involved in your local community by taking part in Social Action Projects. Guest speakers, workshops and practical-based lessons give you a holistic view of what health and social care is and provides you with creative and effective learning opportunities
