What the college says

"Discover the beautiful ancient art of Keum Boo, a Korean metalworking technique that fuses pure gold foil onto the surface of sterling silver using heat and pressure. In this hands-on jewellery workshop, learners will create an item in silver, learning how to prepare the silver, apply 24ct gold foil and create striking contrasts of colour and texture. Learners will experiment with surface decoration techniques before producing their own unique silver jewellery piece, such as a pendant, earrings or charm. The workshop covers metal preparation, texturing, annealing, gold application, finishing and polishing techniques, making it suitable for both beginners and those with some jewellery-making experience."
