What the college says
The Level 2 Award in Retrofit Principles has been written to provide an insight in the retrofit industry. Learning takes place so that learners understand environment sustainability and energy efficiency within retrofitting. It covers the requirements and regulations within the PAS 2035 standard and the career options within the retrofit industry. The qualification also explores the need for retrofit for domestic and non-domestic properties to help meet government targets for net zero by 2050. It also helps to develop an understanding of various materials used for retrofitting along with typical post fit problems. The qualification also looks at waste management regulations, safe waste disposal and the consequences of waste mismanagement. The qualification is tested via a multiple-choice exam paper at the end of the course.
