What the college says

A Level Religious Studies covers a wide variety of areas whilst allowing you to develop an in depth knowledge of religious issues. It is an inclusive subject, designed for people of any faith, and people who have no faith. It is not necessary to have taken Religious Studies at GCSE, although pupils who have a GCSE will find that the A Level builds on their knowledge, understanding and skills.

What you need to get on

If you have taken GCSE Religious Studies you are expected to have achieved a Grade 6. If you haven’t taken GCSE Religious Studies you are expected to have achieved a grade 6 in English and preferably a grade 6 in another Humanities subject.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
