What the college says

Religious Studies A Level is taught through discussions, group-work, research, debates, presentations and role-play. Religious Studies enlarges your understanding of the world and your relationship to it. It generates creativity and allows you to engage in the offense and defense of powerful ideas and their consequences. You will develop the skills to think critically, argue logically and to disagree amiably! You will learn a lot about yourself: what you believe and why you believe it. It keeps the mind alive and sharp whilst giving you the skills in applying knowledge to changing situations. You will also develop and enhance techniques that may help you study more effectively beyond the classroom.

What you need to get on

Grade 5-9 in Maths and English plus three other GCSE subjects at grade 5 or above AND Religious Studies Grade 6 at GCSE or English Grade 6 if not studied at GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
