What the college says

This course aims to develop interest and enthusiasm for the rigorous academic study of philosophy, religion and ethics through knowledge, understanding and evaluation of selected topics. The course looks to build on and extend the issues studied at GCSE. This course is open to those who have a genuine interest in Religious Studies. You do not have to be religious to take Religious Studies as this is the academic study of religion, philosophy and ethics. What you do need is a lively, enquiring mind and the willingness to critically study different viewpoints. All universities recognise Religious Studies, and you can use this qualification to help gain entry into a number of different courses. It naturally combines well with the other Humanities subjects.
