What the college says

This qualification is designed to support learners who are interested in learning about the uniformed protective services sector. It gives them a broad basis of study, designed to support progression to higher education when taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels. This course is delivered as two qualifications, each a year long (usually a national or 90 credit diploma in Year 1 and the extended diploma in Year 2). Students who are 18 years old when they start Year 1 will therefore be 19 at the start of Year 2 and may be subject to fees for the Year 2 qualification. All learners will need to successfully complete the Year 1 qualification to be able to progress to the Year 2 qualification.
