Students studying Psychology will develop an understanding of a wide range of behaviours including: - the causes and treatments of abnormality; - how the memory system works, including how we store memories and why we forget; - human development and how childhood experiences can affect adult behavior; - the consequences of stress and the benefits of stress management; - the reasons why people obey and disobey authority figures; - the causes of aggression. Psychology is an interesting, challenging and exceptionally useful subject which is advantageous to a wide variety of different careers. Psychology will provide you with a scientific understanding of human behaviour and help to develop the critical thinking and research methodology skills necessary for many degree level courses.

What you need to get on

At least 5 4-9 GCSE grades (or A*-C legacy GCSE grades) with a minimum of 4,4 or above in GCSE Combined Science, 5 or above in GCSE English, and 5 or above in GCSE Mathematics

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
