AS Psychology • Social influence - looks at conformity, social roles and obedience in society. • Memory - investigates the way in which we process and retain information, why we forget things and the effect of leading questions. • Attachment - focuses on the relationship between care givers and those that are cared for. • Approaches in psychology – looks at the variety of ways in which Psychology can be approached and interpreted. • Psychopathology - allows students to see what happens when mental health deviates from good, focusing on Schizophrenia. • Research methods - shows students how Psychologists investigate the world around them. A2 Psychology The A level course revisits the topics from AS in greater depth but also includes • Relationships • Gender • Cognition and development • Schizophrenia • Eating disorders • Stress • Aggression • Forensic Psychology • Addiction
