Psychology is defined as 'the science of mind and behaviour'. You'll be introduced to the central debates, investigate the methods used in research, and apply what you've learned to a range of social, cultural and contemporary issues. Psychology is a vast discipline and covers topics as diverse as Mental Illness and Animal Behaviour. Expect to look into different psychological perspectives such as Social, Biological, Behaviourist, Cognitive and Developmental Psychology. You can expect to look at how data can be analysed and how psychologists reach conclusions about human behaviour.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 passes (grade 4 or above) at GCSE, including in both English and Maths (not including Level 2 vocational qualifications).

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
