The psychology qualification gives students an introduction to the basic paradigms and methodology within the discipline. Students will learn about the cognitive processes involved in memory, the aetiology of different common psychological disorders such as depression and OCD, scientific approach to psychology, social influence including conformity and obedience, as well as basic developmental theories.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 (or equivalent) including English, Mathematics and Science. Experience shows that your chances of success are greater in this subject if you have a Grade B in Science and English Language.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
